Summer Session 2020 Letter

Dear Campers, Staff, Parents, and Friends:

After much prayer and consideration, the Camp Ne-O-Tez Board of Directors has made the decision to cancel all camp sessions for 2020. This decision was not made lightly. We feel based on the information we have currently, this is in the best interest of our campers, staff, and their families.  The current social distancing requirements in place and other directives given to organizations by the CDC and local county governments make it impossible to run Camp as we have in the past.  The things that make Camp so special to all of us: the singing, the togetherness, camp fires, hugs, etc. would not be possible.

This truly breaks our heart to have to make this decision because we know how much Camp means to all of you.  We pray that you will seek other opportunities this summer for spiritual growth.  We are especially mindful of our seniors who will be missing their last year of Camp, and the board will be considering other possibilities in the future for them.

We ask for your continued prayers for Camp Ne-O-Tez, for our country, and the world.

In Him,

Camp Ne-O-Tez Board

Summer Camp Update

Summer Camp Update

With prayerful consideration the Camp Ne-O-Tez board of directors has made a very hard decision to cancel our June summer sessions (PreCamp, High Teen and Middle School). We will meet again on June 1 to determine what our July sessions may look like. We hope to have an opportunity for 3rd – 12th grade campers. Camp will be following the CDC and local guidelines. We ask for your prayers as decisions are made about July summer camp. We love and miss our campers!

PreCamp Cancelled

PreCamp 2020 is being cancelled out of an abundance of caution and the age of the campers.  We will plan to offer a PreCamp day for families in late summer.  We are continuing to monitor and make prayerful decisions about our other sessions. We ask for your prayers for wisdom.

Virtual Keynote with Dave Berry

While we all miss being together for the Annual Rally Dinner, there is one element from the dinner we are able to bring to you: our keynote speaker, Dave Berry. Watch the video of Dave and leave your comments and greetings on the Camp’s Facebook page.

Dinner Update

As we cooperate with St. Louis County officials, and using an abundance of caution for our many loyal supporters, Camp Ne-O-Tez has cancelled our annual dinner scheduled for Friday, April 3rd. We ask that everyone be prayerful for God’s hand to be at work in the world to bring healing to those impacted by COVID-19 and to bring peace to everyone through reliance on the Lord’s provision.

As many of you know, this is Camp’s largest fund-raising event during the year. Be looking for upcoming events and opportunities to help support Ne-O-Tez as we “train youth to walk with Christ”.

May the Lord give us confidence in His sovereignty in times like these.
